This Privacy Policy explains how REMKTOS (“REMKTOS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our marketing automation platform Remktos (the “Service”).

By using Remktos, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. What Remktos Does (High Level)

Remktos is a marketing automation system that:

  • Collects basic information about your business (e.g., website, industry, products/services).
  • Visits your public website to understand your business and create a marketing strategy and social media posts.
  • Allows you to connect your Instagram Business account so we can automatically publish posts on your behalf.
  • Lets you regenerate posts, edit posts, and disconnect Instagram at any time.

We do not use your Instagram connection for any purposes unrelated to your business marketing.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

Account & Contact Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password or authentication credentials (hashed/encrypted, if applicable)
  • Company name

Business Information

  • Company website URL
  • Industry, target audience, products/services
  • Brand preferences (tone of voice, colors, style guidelines)
  • Any other marketing-related info you decide to share with us

Content & Feedback

  • Approvals, edits, and comments on posts and strategies
  • Regeneration requests and configuration choices

3.2 Information We Collect From Your Website

When you provide your company website, we may automatically:

  • Visit your public website pages.
  • Collect publicly available information about:
    • What your business does
    • Products/services offered
    • Brand language and key terms

We use this information only to build and improve your marketing strategy and content.

We do not attempt to access any non-public areas of your website.

3.3 Information From Instagram (Business Accounts Only)

When you connect your Instagram Business account, we use the official Instagram/Meta APIs to:

  • Verify that the account is a Business or Creator account, not a personal one.
  • Obtain the minimum necessary data to:
    • Publish posts (images, captions, hashtags) on your behalf.
    • Manage and schedule content created by Remktos.

We do not:

  • Connect to or manage personal Instagram accounts.
  • Read or store your private messages (DMs).
  • Collect your followers' private information.
  • Collect any non-business-related Instagram data beyond what is strictly needed for posting and business insights.

You can disconnect your Instagram account from Remktos at any time (see Section 7).

3.4 Automatically Collected Data (Usage & Analytics)

When you use our Service or visit our website, we may automatically collect:

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, device information, access times, pages viewed)
  • Usage data (features used, clickstream, performance events)
  • Cookie and tracking information

We may use third-party tools, such as:

  • Google Analytics
  • Meta/Facebook Pixel
  • Other similar marketing/analytics tools

These tools help us understand how our platform is used, improve it, and measure marketing performance.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule and automatically publish posts on your connected Instagram Business account.

We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to marketing for your business.

7.1 Instagram Connection

You can connect a Business Instagram account to Remktos to allow automatic posting.

You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from within the Service or via your Meta/Instagram settings.

After disconnection:

  • We will no longer be able to post on your behalf.
  • Existing data related to the connection may be retained as needed for logs, security, or legal reasons, but we stop receiving any new data from Instagram.

7.2 Content & Posts

  • You can regenerate, edit, or delete drafts of posts directly in the platform.
  • You decide what gets published and when (unless you explicitly enable fully automated workflows).

7.3 Account Information

  • You can update your account information in your profile settings.
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us (see Section 11).
  • We may keep certain data where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records, security logs).

7.4 Cookies & Tracking

  • You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
  • Some cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be fully disabled without affecting functionality.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as:

  • Your account is active, or
  • We need it to provide you with the Service, or
  • It is necessary for legitimate business needs (e.g., accounting, security) or legal obligations.

When we no longer need your information, we will delete or anonymize it.
